Embark on a soul-stirring journey through the sacred Buddhist Circuit of India and Nepal, curated exclusively for our valued guests. This specially crafted itinerary offers a harmonious blend of spiritual exploration, cultural immersion, and serene landscapes, allowing travelers to trace the life and teachings of Lord Buddha from his birthplace to the sites of his enlightenment and teachings.

Varanasi & Sarnath: Begin your journey in Varanasi, exploring the spiritual city and visiting Sarnath, where Gautama Buddha first taught the Dharma in the Deer Park. Learn about the origins of the Buddhist Sangha and soak in the serene surroundings.

Bodh Gaya: Travel to Bodh Gaya, the site of Buddha’s enlightenment under the Bodhi Tree. Visit the iconic Mahabodhi Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and explore other nearby sacred sites.

Rajgir: Proceed to Rajgir, a city rich in Buddhist and Jain heritage. Explore Vulture’s Peak, where Buddha delivered important sermons, and the tranquil Bamboo Grove.

Nalanda: Conclude the day with a visit to Nalanda, home to the ancient Nalanda University ruins, one of the world’s first residential universities and a historic center of learning.

Day 01: On Arrival At Varanasi, India

Upon arrival at Varanasi International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our company representative, who will assist you in meeting your day tour guide and coordinating your driver for the duration of your trip. We will then transfer you to downtown Varanasi, where your guide will provide a fascinating introduction to this historic city.

After enjoying your first lunch at your own expense, we will proceed to Sarnath, located approximately 13 kilometres northeast of Varanasi near the confluence of the Ganges and Gomati rivers. Sarnath is historically significant as the place where Gautama Buddha first taught the Dharma in the Deer Park, and where the Buddhist Sangha was established through the enlightenment of Kondanna.

In the afternoon, we will return to Varanasi and check in at your hotel, allowing time to relax and unwind. Over Night Stay In Varanasi.

Day 01:  On  Arrival At Varanasi, India

Day 02: Varanasi – Bodh Gaya (By Surface 280 Kms & 7 Hrs.)

We need to wake up early this morning as we are going to get on a cruise trip on Ganges River to catch the sunrise over the most sacred river of the whole India country. Enjoy the pure morning on the most important river of Indians. You may have many chances to witness the ritual bath ceremony to wash up the dust of ordinary life before praying to Buddha by Hindu people. We back to the hotel for checking out and get ready for the transfer of approx. 240km to the holiest land of Buddhism – Bodh Gaya. Arrive Gaya in late afternoon, this is free time to relax and first exploration surroundings on your own.
 

Overnight in Bodh Gaya 

Day 02: Varanasi – Bodh Gaya (By Surface 280 Kms & 7 Hrs.)

Day 03: Bodh Gaya Sightseeing (B)

Begin the day with a visit to Mahabodhi Temple, the most important site in Bodh Gaya, where Buddha spent his final years as an ordinary person. Explore the temple complex and learn about its historical and spiritual significance.

Next, we will visit the Bodhi Tree, under which Buddha attained Enlightenment. In the afternoon, proceed to the Niranjana River, closely associated with the story of Buddha receiving a bowl of milk soup from Lady Sujata and a bundle of hay from a local farmer, which he used to prepare his meditation spot under the Bodhi Tree.

Following this, we visit Sujata Village, named in honor of Lady Sujata. Enjoy some free time to explore the village and, if you wish, contribute to a local school as an act of charity.

Later, visit various international pagodas in Bodh Gaya, including the Vietnamese Pagoda, Nepalese Pagoda, Mahabodhi Mahavihara (Indian Pagoda), and/or the Burmese Pagoda, each reflecting unique architectural and cultural influences.

Return to the hotel in the late afternoon for leisure. Dinner will be on your own.

Day 03: Bodh Gaya Sightseeing (B)

Day 04: Bodh Gaya – Rajgir – Nalanda – Bodh Gaya (B)

After breakfast at your hotel, we transfer to Rajgir, the first capital of the ancient Magadha kingdom and a center of Buddhist learning for centuries. Today’s highlights include:

Venuvana Vihara Monastery: The very first Buddhist monastery, built and offered by King Bimbisara.

Nalanda University: Explore the ruins of the largest ancient Buddhist university, dating back to the 5th century, and learn about its historical significance.

Saptaparni Cave: A serene site where Buddha practiced deep meditation for six years.

Griddhakuta Hill (Vulture’s Peak): Visit the hill where Buddha delivered many of his teachings. (Cable car usage is optional and at your own expense.)

After a day full of enriching experiences, we return to Bodh Gaya for your final night in this sacred land.
